If you are familiar with the spinning wheel of doom, you have come to the right place.
There is no reason why your laptop should slow you down or take forever to load even the simplest of web pages. It’s 2022 and we live in a technologically advanced world where there are newer, faster and better models available, and contrary to what you may believe, it doesn’t have to break the bank.
Amazon Prime Day is almost here and with it comes a slew of discounts on tech staples, ranging from Amazon TVs and gadgets to laptops – the focus of this particular article (although we do have discounts specific to the two mentioned previously).
Investing in a new device will only improve your productivity. Since most of us still work in a hybrid way between home and office, our laptops have become the most essential piece of equipment we own. Our devices have also had to take on a whole new role in coping with the daily grind, and for many, this was too difficult a feat to accomplish.
Taking it from work to the weekend, it can also be where you watch most of your TV on streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video or for the gamers among you, it will be where you shoot, kick or scout in virtual. worlds, all of which require a power level to get going.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?
The two-day mega discount event will run through July 12-13. For 48 hours, you can stock up on tech, home, and even baby essentials where prices have been slashed.
You may remember that for 2021, it took place in June and the year before it was in October, so make sure you have marked your calendar with the 2022 date to avoid missing out.
Do you need a Prime account to get the deals?
It’s important to have a Prime Day membership, otherwise you won’t be able to take full advantage of the reductions. Subscription costs just £7.99 per month or £79 per year, but for those new to the service, you can test the waters with a 30-day free trial. Students get the reduced rate of £3.99 a month.
This monthly or yearly cost includes next-day or even same-day delivery, Prime Video, Music, and more, giving you a true investment.
What kind of offers are available?
Look out for three types of offers; those that will last for the duration of the event (until the item runs out), deals of the day, or flash deals that, as the name suggests, will only last a few hours. Once the items are gone, they’re gone, so don’t wait to take advantage of the bargains.
What deals on laptops were there last year?
Amazon Prime Day is the time to invest in a new laptop. Last year’s discounts went to all the big names, including Acer, Asus, Huawei, Samsung, HP, Microsoft and Apple. There were also tablets, monitors, hard drives, and accessories that were especially helpful for those looking to upgrade their setup.
The biggest reductions were on the Samsung Galaxy Book, which received a 45 per cent discount, as well as the HP Pavilion 15-dk1019na, reduced from £1149.99 to £899.99.
What deals can we expect this year?
We expect the deals to follow in the footsteps of last year with Microsoft, Samsung, Apple and HP among the names to watch.
